Cleaning windows and mirrors can be a challenge, even for the pros. Cleaning windows and mirrors with ProSol All Purpose Cleaner is simple, easy and it works great. Here are simple tips I have learned that really make a difference.
Streaking
Many
times the cleaning product used is too concentrated which leaves very
faint streaks. The key for streak free shine on your windows and mirrors
using ProSol is to use less concentrate. We recommend the X-lite Solution (1 Teaspoon of
concentrate to 1 quart of clean water). Streaking can also occur
because the window is still too dirty or the cloth is dirty or too wet.
If the window you are about to clean looks like a wall of mud; Use
ProSol Medium Solution (4 Tablespoons of Concentrate to 1 quart of water) to begin the
cleaning process. This will help to release more dirt and grime during
the initial cleaning phase and then finish the job with the X-Lite solution.
Remember to use a clean cloth dry that will absorb
water. Completely drying the window will also help to keep a streak free
looking glass.
Lint Specks
One
important cleaning tip is using a cloth that will not leave lint behind.
Lint is caused by fibers in clothing and towels that break free and
stick to the surface of window and/or mirror. To avoid lint deposits use
a tightly woven cloth like a dish drying towel. High absorbent paper towels
work well but they can get rather expensive to use. We do not recommend using a shammy or at least I have not had great success with them and windows.
